Hotel Queanbeyan

We haven’t stayed at the Queanbeyan Hotel yet, but my husband and I regularly come here on Friday nights for dinner and absolutely love it. Their steaks are consistently excellent — honestly some of the best we’ve had — and the drinks are amazing too. The pina colada is definitely one of my favourites! The customer service is always warm and welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the overall vibe is just fantastic. It’s become one of our favourite go-to places to unwind after a long week. Highly recommend for a relaxed night out with great food and great company.

I was in dire need of a quick overnight stay, after a Qantas flight cancellation into Canberra....and after 5 unsuccessful calls, stumbled upon the Hotel Queanbeyan. Look, I have run two "dated" hotels in my time as a Marriott Hotel executive...so I intimately know how difficult it is putting, "Lipstick on a Pig"...(as the southerners in my country say). HOWEVER....these guys are really trying!!! Hard to find the front desk...so one wanders around to find someone to check you in. That person was Tamera, and she was very kind...and found my keys that had already been cut for me...and marked, "American Guy". (I've been called worse)LOL. I'll be honest...I haven't had a shared bathroom since high-school, but they were clean and fine. The bedroom was nice and clean...and the bed was fine! Upside: price was worth it and the accoutrements in the room were really well done, ie...plenty of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate options...two packs of cookies, fresh cold milk in the fridge. Here is my minimal constructive criticism for staff: 1.Remote had no back...batteries fell on the floor when i first grabbed it 2. Water pressure in shower...not so good, but again, it's an old property 3. Night stand lights unplugged, and the power points bent so badly, one could hardly fit them in the socket ....and 4: Somebody...please vacuum the flipping HALLWAY!!! Seriously, my stay was way better than I expected when I first got there....and I would certainly stay there again, and this time....eat...because the menu options look fantastic, and the prices listed were more than fair!!! Food is well-presented, generously portioned, and great value for money. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, making every visit comfortable and enjoyable. Big shoutout to the lady with the long brown hair & glasses who checked me in. Super friendly as were all the staff there. I left my phone charger behind & the same lady (sorry no name) returned it with a smile. Great value for money, would normally not stay in a pub with shared bathrooms, but the shower area was super clean, so I would stay here again.

This place was incredible! Stayed a couple nights, the people were so nice, place was really clean and the amount of services and utilities you get for this price is crazy. Really spacious as well
