Pub Bookings (“we”, “us”) operates a directory of pub accommodation across Australia and New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (including the Australian Privacy Principles) and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your details for third-party marketing.
We may use website analytics to understand how the site is used: either Plausible Analytics, which is cookie-free and collects only aggregate page-view statistics, or Google Analytics, which sets cookies (such as _ga) and shares usage and device information with Google. Where Google Analytics is active, you can opt out with browser settings or Google's opt-out tools. Apart from any analytics cookies, the site does not set tracking cookies.
Enquiries and contact messages are retained while they are needed to manage the relationship between guests and pubs, and are periodically reviewed and deleted when no longer required. Individual page-view and click records (including IP addresses) are kept for up to 12 months to produce reporting for the pubs listed with us, then deleted automatically.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send your request via our contact form and we'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
