Clean rooms comfortable beds, good location in bundanoon good (close to shops and train), service good (can call late) but yes shared bathroom and shared lounge, no tv in room so as long as your okay with thats its convenient, fair value. There is wifi in main lobby but may not get in rooms (which was my experience). Restaraunt was okay, but i recommend booking on a weekend. I was out the back so didnt have issues with noise from the bar. And further from the front which is opposite the train station.
Stayed here for a night over Easter. The food is absolutely amazing - great job. Accommodation is good, as expected for a pub. Service was just ok but I also understand it was very busy. Not to parents - letting your kids run down the hallways or talk on the common balcony at 7am is not cool!
A delightful old hotel, showcasing how things used to be. A wonderful atmosphere, unpretentious and makes a nice change from other hotels boasting more stars. Hotel lunch and dinner was excellent. Breakfast is not available at the hotel, but can be purchased opposite from various cafes in the Bundanoon village, being just a stroll away. Three very enjoyable nights, nothing more required.
Heading to Sunnataram Forest Monastery and went a day early to Bundanoon to also do some walking in Morton Nat. Park. Stayed at the hotel for a night. Great place. Book direct though as it’s $10-15 cheaper. I had a queen bed, room, and shared bathroom. The shared bathroom was always very clean. Room was clean too and functional. Slep extremely well. Good bed. Some tips : ask to stay in a room furthest from the railway line as freight trains pass through the night. I stayed in no 57 and slept well. Room 52 is too close to the fuse box. Hotel was built 1922 and has good culture. Staff are friendly, bar is a key focus point and restaurant had good food. Seemed to be a hub for locals. Guest lounge rooms had tea / coffee etc. Bike backer’s were staying over that same night. Had brekky at DeliLicious Bundanoon and that was awesome. Pumpkin soup was yum. Spent the day trekkkng round Morton National Park. Great day out and well structured park. Walks, camping, bbq etc.
