Figtree Hotel

$130 pn Room was right near the air conditioner motors on the roof , Loud.. non-stop. Bar fridge was down the bottom of the cupboard on the floor, hard to get to with a bad back. Bed was so hard. Kettle had to be filled up from the shower. Shower was good though! Hot and nice. Staff nice and polite. Rooms clean and tidy. Figtree hotel have great food, great atmosphere. Love the figgy.

I travelled down from the Hunter to watch football. As it's over 5 hrs each way I decided to stay in the Illawarra. Great choice, great food huge screens I watched the rest of Saturday's games from the pub. Quick flutter and stayed the night. Perfectly adiquate for my needs. P.S. Food was awesome

We came here to eat on a public holiday, with hungry kids after a footy tournament. Waited nearly 2 hours for food. Only ordered 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals. The Management here really need to adequately staff their kitchen on weekends and Public holidays when there are local footy tournaments next door. Staff were not particularly sorry for the delay. They were also not upfront about the wait times, and also not honest when asked for updates on when the food would be ready. We really wished we had gone somewhere else.

We went tonight and ordered the rump steak. It was a cheap special but you still expect it to be eatable. The steak was dry, tough and tasteless. The salad tasted like it had sat for 5 days and was off. I requested no chips but more than half the plate was chips and we waited over 1hr 15 minutes for the food to come out. Absolutely do not recommend!

Went for lunch. Entree: Calamari - fantastic. Cheese bread - fantastic. Schnitzel - one boscaiola, one with brisket, one with garlic prawns, one parmigiana....nice portions.but the crumbing of the chicken was a disappointment on all of them.
