The Meadowbrook Hotel

We ordered two parmis, and overall they were solid—nothing overly special, but definitely not disappointing either. I’d rate them around a 7.5/10. I’ve had better elsewhere, but I also can’t really fault them. They were decent, well cooked, and enjoyable enough. Around 50$ for the two meals also Service was good as always. There was a bit of a delay with the food due to them being understaffed, but they did let us know a wait time upfront, which made things easier. In the end, the meals actually came out slightly earlier than expected and were served hot, which was appreciated. I’ve always liked the service at Meadowbrook Tavern. The only funny ongoing thing is I always seem to lose money here on the pokies or the punt—no matter how I go anywhere else. I know it’s just luck, but it definitely feels like this is the one place that never goes my way. Overall though, it’s a reliable spot: decent food, good service, and no real complaints.

Visited the pub. typically pub food. We had 2 parmies and both of them were delicious. Portions could be a bit bigger for our needs. The chicken Schnitzel did have different sizes, although they both supposed to have the same weight. I had only 10 fries... compared to the other plate with nearly double the amount.

Partner and I both today 27th May 26 ordered the lunch steak special, mine was good come out medium well great gravy but then to have my misses well done steak and asked extra cooked as she doesn't like blood but it come out less cooked then my medium well done steak. Took it back up to the counter to get what we ordered so they took it and 5-10 minutes later THE SAME STEAK COMES BACK OUT JUST CLEANED THE GRAVEY OFF AND RECOOKED IT. Really well done health and safety there.

Review about dining not accommodation. Waited 40mins for an overcooked chicken schnitzel today. Had finished my overpriced pint of James Squire Ginger Beer >$16 by the time it arrived. Another drink would have been good to wash down the dry crunchy chicken, but not at that price.

On Thursday 12Feb our usual trio had our monthly Thursday dinner outing after a few months break to find new menus, new items, & new pricing. There were more choices and we thought there must've been a change in kitchen staff. Orders were placed, & although it took a little longer than previous times, the food looked fantastic and tasted even better. I see other reviews here & find them unjustified based on my experience over many dinners had here. I'll definitely continue to dine here & have recommended to friends and family. What do they say opinions are like??
