I stayed here during weekend, Friday night to Sunday. I understand that this is above a pub hence noise is expected. However, my room seemed to be directly above the stage or music area, so the noise was at maximum level. I also booked a room which was said to be a bit bigger than the rest, however when I looked at the plan after we entered the room, it's not the largest. We couldn't know. The room is clean with comfy bed. And you get the view of the town. The dining room, on the contrary is on or above the quite section of the pub downstairs. Moving sleeps area here would probably be better. Shared bathroom, which was clear at booking and I am fine with this. Clean most of the time. Great shower experience. In the kitchen, there are coffee, tea, fridge, water bottles (not regularly refilled). I made ice cubes as I needed them, then found the next few hours when they're frozen, half of them gone. It's probably good if hotel can check and refill something like this regularly. Overall, It's great if you did not bring children, but I don't think this is suitable for family with younger children or if you're looking for a relaxing time. The smell of cigarette smoke was still quite strong upstairs as well. Location is great as it's in town. Friendly staff.
I’m commenting on Bistro. It’s been approximately 3 years since I’ve been up this way. I suggested to my friends to have lunch there, to order scotch fillet steak. Neither of us enjoyed, mine was very grissley,no flavour at all, under cooked, pepper sauce I think was out of a packet, could be wrong, salad delicious, chips crunchy. Chef very friendly and nice personality. Bar staff also friendly. On holidays for five nights, we’ve been out for two meals here and Kiama, unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy either.,
We didn't eat here as we had a function elsewhere, we stayed the night. The room was clean, airy, tidy and very comfortable. The shared bathrooms were very clean with all the amenities. Very economical and I would recommend it 👌
