Blacktown Tavern

We came to Blacktown for an event and chose to stay here at Blacktown Tavern. It was around a 15 minute walk from the Blacktown Train station at a leisurely pace and very easy to find. Checked in inside the tavern at the bar and the rooms are a separate building block just next to the main building. All the staff members we interacted with were very welcoming and helpful. We were in Room Number 1, the rooms are on the smaller size but we were able to tell that from the website and found them to be actually a little bit bigger than we expected based on reading reviews. Definitely more than comfortable enough for the two of us. The shower gets scalding hot, so if you love a hot shower you won't be disappointed! AC can't be set below 22C, and we did have some minor issues with the television. It was connected to their guest wifi but wasn't able to connect properly to the internet (I would guess this is because the TV can't go through the "Yes I agree to your terms" page that you will get on a phone or laptop when connecting to the wifi. This meant we could not access youtube or netflix, or stream from one of our devices to the TV. It did have access to free to air channels though so we found something to watch that way but would have been happier if the other features were accessible. Booking direct was very easy and I recommend doing that rather than third party when possible. The Tavern is great for a short trip where you expect to not be spending time in the room outside of rest times. Very convenient location near the train station. We will definitely be back next time we have an event in or near Blacktown.

Has decent number of tables and chairs for having drinks with buddies. Have good unlimited free parking onsite. Has a small kids area where kids can climb obstacles and enjoy themselves. They even have a small area with animals usually you can pet and play with, get up close to small pets. Didn't stay overnight to provide any views on stay. Was only here a few hours for few drinks and fun time with friends and family.

BRING BACK THE RIBEYE STEAK FOR GOOD! We are locals come here regularly with our 2 and 3 year old for late lunches/dinner. The service is amazing the girls at the buffet are so lovely and they remember our orders.. I think however they need more staff on especially during busy periods to help the girls out at the buffet…. And Since they swapped rib eye for the tbone we don’t come here as often . Please bring it back for us locals 👍🏼

Held my baby shower here in the function room and the entire process was incredibly easy and stress-free. We were even able to set up the day before since there were no events booked, which made everything so much smoother. The food was served exactly how I had requested and was a huge hit with all of our guests. Highly recommend!

Room was clean and really warm. Bed was really nice and comfy. Security guard was really helpful to show me where to check in last and the manager was really nice and helped gave me directions to get to the room as it was my first time there. Really great and friendly sevice
