Absolutely amazing hotel for a feed. My wife and I had a dinner here prior to going to see Pretty Woman the musical on Friday night. I had the Wagyu beef schnitzel and chips with the traditional gravy 💯 delicious. My wife had the Chicken and mashed potato and she raved how delicious that was. The service was nothing short of incredible. Our waiter was brilliant, a young man that is studying theatre he told us. He didn’t even need to write down our order, he remembered everything. Very impressive. Very neat and clean. We will definitely be coming back to this establishment. Thank you.

This was an absolute pleasant surprise. I booked directly with the hotel seeing the glowing reviews but always had a degree of trepidation due to the fact that sleeping above a pub on a main road may be a bit noisy. What I found was a private entry. An expansive room with a VERY large corner bathroom with royalty sized bath tub. Fantastic! oh and because I booked directly with the hotel they supplied complimentary beverages (coopers - you cant get everything right 😅) and a little bag of snacks which included Tiny Teddy's??? Hilarious! Anyway the pub staff are attentive and helpful. The craft taps were mouthwatering and location is central. Great work team I will be back. PS. the construction site across the road was a bit of a pain in the behind but it's not your fault for the disruption and a few less Z's

This is a review of the bar, not the hotel. Is this the best beer bar in Australia? I don't know, I have not been to that many, but I have drunk and written about beer all round the world and I know a class act when I drink in one. Decent range of craft hazies on tap plus some more interesting stuff; hand-rolled longnecks of half a dozen Coopers ales from Adelaide attracting a loyal older crowd; a decent enough range of other stuff; beer knowledge behind the bar; decent food too. And absolute must do for beer lovers if in Adelaide. Nice old building too, with a courttyard at the back.

A big thank you to Leigh and staff who looked after this weary traveller this week on my way back from Alice Springs to Geelong. The beer was cold, the food was filling and the room was cozy and warm. Have already recommended it to my friends.

Loved our stay, room was lovely, comfortable, all we needed. Check in was easy and we were personally shown to our room. Loved the goodie bag and complimentary mini bar drinks. Service was exceptional, so friendly and efficient. Nice to have the pub downstairs, great vibe, and we didn't hear a sound from our room. Would definitely stay again!
