We had the most fantastic weekend away! Our group was quite large, but from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and looked after throughout the entire stay. Brendan and his team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us. Nothing was too much trouble, and we truly couldn't have asked for better hospitality. We had a lot of luggage, and the staff were incredibly helpful in carrying everything and getting us settled in. A special thank you to Toby, Luke, and another young gentleman who helped with all our luggage making it absolute stress free to getting settled and ready to enjoy our weekends. The location was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. We had such a wonderful weekend and would highly recommend staying here. We can't wait to come back! 🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Felt compelled to write a review after our first time visiting this hotel for dinner. Every staff member we came across, from the security to the bar staff - were lovely and accommodating. Service was wonderful, food was great (kids meals were awesome too) and well priced. Thanks for an enjoyable evening during a really busy time over the June long weekend.

I find 'The Australian' refreshing. When I visit the Rocks (normally to visit the markets for Xmas/ bday presents or to catch up with visitors) I will drop in for lunch. Often I will have my cattle dog with me (not ideal but personal reasons dictate it), this is one of the rare places that I don't feel I need to apologise to do so. There is even an older gentleman that greets us and has treats ready to go. The service is very friendly; the food is very nice - not pretentious, not small, but satisfyingly yummy; the recent glass of wine I had was very more-ish; the location is handy to markets, shops and history; the ambiance is content - no one is a trying wannabe and everyone can actually hear each other. I didn't rate the rooms as I haven't been in the rooms but I can say the toilet stalls aren't tiny cubicles, and the bar area is long without a wait. Worth a visit!!

We stayed across the road but this pub was such a find! We ate there twice - both times we had superb service from happy helpful staff ( they said it was a great place to work) The meals were served promptly and were top class. Very good value too! We all had the same dish the first time - pulled lamb and cous cous salad. Then we tried the salmon poke bowl next visit! Both dishes were amazingly tasty! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Really enjoyed this oldie world pub. Very clean with fresh linen and towels. Shared bathrooms but not an issue as there are lots of them. Very nice breakfast available in the guests dining room. Fresh fruit juice, cereal coffe tea. Only thing is that brekkie doesn't start till 8am. A 7:30am start would be better so you can get going into the day earlier. Napkins with the food would be a great easy addition too. Pub menu food is great and pizzas are really good. Staff super friendly. The venue has a bonus rooftop bar. Couple of downsides. There are a lot of stairs A lot!. Definitely not wheelchair friendly for a stay. But eating in bar accessible from street level 100% accessible. Also rooms are not air conditioned but the guest lounge area is for a quick cool down. Will definitely be back.
